Atelier-Pierrot’s corset bustle skirts are a signature look for the company and for traditional Elegant Gothic Lolita fashion. They’re also some of our most popular and defining items.
This is one of a new round of corset bustle skirts in new color and fabric combinations. Black is of course the most popular color in Gothic Lolita fashion, but Atelier-Pierrot is shaking things up by introducing new elements like the purple rose pattern pictured here on the corset of this skirt. The material is new too – they’ve previously made their bustle skirts from either heavy cotton or soft polyester, but this, officially designated as taffeta, has elements of the feel of both. It is heavy like cotton, but soft like polyester and with a silk-like sheen. The corset is Jacquard polyester, a type of fabric with a pattern sewn directly into the fabric. As with their previous polyester bustle skirts, a layer of chiffon tulle peeks out from below the hem.
Atelier-Pierrot’s bustle skirts have a true bustle in both front and back, and they can be configured in a variety of ways depending on the look you’re going for.
Note that the sizes quoted below are provided by Atelier-Pierrot, but they are very conservative. 26" is about right for the smallest part of the waist, but there is probably about an extra inch of give.
