Victorian maiden produces some fairly traditional Classic Lolita looks, but they’ve also recently developed a new house style that redefines the Lolita silhouette in subtle ways. With inspiration from the clean lines of 1950’s and 60’s styles mixed with their neo-Victorian detailing, the Shiny Rose Dress is one such example of the company’s experimentation.
The most striking feature of this dress, apart from its simple and elegant overall design, is of course the black-on-black rose print. The print itself is “blacker” than the dress, but in certain light the roses will glint and reflect enough light to appear lighter than the dress.
Our photos were taken with both a standard petticoat and an A-line petticoat. This is an A-line dress, so an A-line petticoat is recommended.
